Greetings from Paradise!

Good afternoon, good evening and good night, as they say here in the Virgin Islands. I’m Annie Travis, a graphic designer, currently living and working remotely in the Caribbean where my boyfriend was recruited for a job in healthcare. Life on an island may sound like paradise, but only if you’re retired or here on vacation. Everyone else has to work hard for a living where the power goes out almost every day, creating stress and chaos if you have client deadlines, patients, or unhappy customers to deal with. I can’t just unplug and read a good book on the beach when I need to work 40 hours a week for my job as a packaging designer based out of New York City. Originally from Ohio, my career path had only two directions. New York or Los Angeles. Having pursued both lifestyles, I found myself back in Ohio during Covid unable to find a stable job. The retail stores I used to design merchandise for were going out of business left and right. Artificial Intelligence has eliminated the need for Human Resources. So I found myself relying on my mass production knowledge rather than artistic talent. But at the end of the work day and during my free time on the weekends, I find myself desperately seeking a new creative outlet.

While decorating our temporary rental home on St. Thomas, I created a mural for my office wall that transformed the drab concrete walls into the vibrant scenery that is outside our front door. I can stay cool (when the power’s on) and comfortable in my element without the harsh heat that always awaits during office hours. The life size environment makes me feel like I’m actually there. The vintage effect makes the typical realistic wall mural become a work of art. It’s a statement piece that can be easily removed and folded up for later. Local inspired collages enhanced by AI, these customizable wall tapestries are perfect for both adults and kids.

Online SHOP coming soon. All pieces are made to order and can be customized with names and dates.
